Artists of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in Sydney's largest outdoor art studio, The Great (Art) Outdoors, a one day event of free art workshops that attracts hundreds of art lovers.
Hosted by the Inner West Council and Art Est Art School, participants will enjoy making art, in the company of others, along the inner west GreenWay under the guidance of award-winning Australian artists such as Mellissa Read-Devine, Tanya Baily and Paul McCarthy.
There is a range of workshops in painting, drawing, clay work and assemblage – inspired by the surrounding natural environment of the GreenWay, a 5.8km environmental and active travel corridor.
No previous art experience is necessary and basic art materials are supplied, so this event is great for beginners, families or for an art picnic with some friends!
For the more experienced artists, there will be an open studio session with Paul McCarthy–where artists are encouraged to bring their specialised supplies.
