Working with the native fauna, I am constantly amazed at its capacity to create its own images. The Angoropha twists create shapes that play with my mind. I have used a substrate of paper which holds an image of timber from a collagraph plate to allow the viewer to see the grain of the wood, not just the tree.
 
Angoropha initiates a discussion about how we impact thenatural world; how trees are so important to the ecosystem; however, in our desire for all things timber, we ignore this fundamental to our peril.
