Graphite and Charcoal on Canson
55 x 48cm (framed)
Using Canson paper as the substrate for this mangrove drawing, Lea allows the material to evoke the mangrove's surface. Her mangrove series advocates for environmental change in our rivers and coastline. She exposes the beauty of these plants through chiaroscuro, juxtaposing the dark of a pessimistic future with the light of our hope for a changing world.
