March of the Heron
I am interested in wildlife and nature photography and feel a connection to the personalities of the animals I photograph. This recognition has led me here.
My composition, combines sixteen individual photographs, and is one of an emerging series giving a voice to their characters. The intentional imperfections reflect an imperfect world, as the viewer is challenged to consider birds are more than caged creatures.
Created from the heron’s perspective, each character’s journey to seek freedom beyond the constraints of the fence line, delivers purposeful imperfections as a watery escape can be seen but just out of reach.
The plight of many water birds should challenge us to reflect on our impact on nature and the environment.
