The GreenWay Art Prize is a curated show which profiles the work
of outstanding new and emerging artists as well as established professional artists.

The Art Prize shines light on the GreenWay and seeks to capture its essence through art.

Artworks selected will have a direct connection to the GreenWay and Cooks River in subject matter, and/or make
a persuasive case in the accompanying artist statement for the entry's concrete or conceptual links.

People's Choice Award

Youth Art Prize is a new GreenWay category and invites young artists to enter artworks in a variety of media including; painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, video and ceramics.

This category is not for photography, this is reserved for the Youth Community Photo Prize. However, photos can be included as part of a collage with other media, eg 2019 Local Prize entrant Tonya Zheng-Halaseh, pictured above or if significantly altered, well beyond to the standard digital enhancements many photographers today use.

Youth Art Prize finalists are also in the running for the Derivan People's Choice Award. Votes from the general public are counted at the close of the exhibition and the prize awarded.

NB: Artworks must relate to the GreenWay or the Cook River and be accompanied by a written statement explaining how.
There are size restrictions on entries, the same as for the Adult Prizes and these are detailed in the Conditions of Entry
