The center of my work is the representation of our immediate world. Walking tracks and waterways around NSW, a constant source of inspiration. Since the devastation of losing everything in the NSW, 2019 bush fires, the resulting trauma has made me aware of how precious and precarious the earth is. We have created a planetary fire age. Concentrating on the growing effects of climate change, being attuned to the regrowth of the natural bushland, and the return of native flora and fauna, it is this observed world that I recreate metaphorically with an abstract expressionist approach.
