A Greenway Transformation Soundscape

This artwork is an audible representation of the changing environment of the Greenway. Housing and industrial development encroached on former bush land and waterways, turning pristine land into ailing places, unpleasant places, and waterways of dumped toxic wastes. But now an ecological transformation is underway, renewing for the better. Recordings play from alternate sides of the sculpture, first rendering industrial sounds such as sawing, chopping, drilling, grinding, then from the other side sounds of nature, tranquillity, birds, a stream flowing and children playing.
