Greenways are corridors of land conserved for recreation or environmental protection. This painting was painted ‘en plein air’ in Leichhardt and reminded me of the concept of greenways everywhere; a typically a ‘green’ or vegetated corridor. It was a very hot day and the overhanging plants along the trellised walkway provided welcome shade.
