This painting shows the bright and colourful sunset over the water, inspired by the views of the bay around the Greenway. The title, 'Chromatic Horizon,' highlights the range of colours that appear as the sun sets and the sky meets the water. In this work, I used bold and warm colours to capture the way the light spreads across the horizon, making the sky and water seem to blend together. The painting focuses on the moment when the sun dips below the horizon, and the colours are at their most vibrant. I wanted to show how beautiful and peaceful this time of day can be, and how the changing light creates a stunning view. This artwork invites the viewer to pause and enjoy the natural beauty of a sunset, just as I did while creating it.
