This view of the Cooks River and the tram emerging from the scrub toward the high rise of Wolli Creek always makes me pause. There is something about its simplicity and distance from where I stand that is calming. The view is from the narrow bridge at Tempe and is a reprieve from the hectic streets of its surrounds. ‘Cooks River at Tempe’ was painted on found scrap tin to highlight the beauty of rejuvenation.
