Too many people live in a bubble of denial, seemingly oblivious to the impact they have on the world. Personal responsibility for the degradation and casual pollution that is affecting our natural world appears to have been lost. Whether picking up this trash while walking beside the Hawthorne Canal (as I did) or considering the broader environmental care issues, this rubbish highlights the fact that each one of us needs to take responsibility for the care of our surroundings.
