GreenWay Reclamation

My photograph ‘GreenWay Reclamation’ portrays the invasion of introduced flora species over the indigenous vegetation of the GreenWay green corridor. Both the native and introduced flora are competing for space in this block of ice, which represents how introduced flora species dominate over the native species. The ice represents preservation, encouraging the audience to question what the community need to preserve in the GreenWay urban green corridor. Additionally, water is a vivifying force that nurtures nature and is an essential element in conserving the biodiversity of the GreenWay water canal. My photograph aims to promote the remediation of the area to the original native vegetation to honour Australia’s ancient natural heritage.
