Habitual walks around the Cooks River between Earlwood and Hurlstone Park have become a comfort, a ritual and a form of physical pattern making as the daily urban pathways turn into lines and loops and my body in movement creates shapes and forms within my suburban locality. Geometry forms the basis for the start of my work. Repeating patterns, arcs, coils and lines reference domestic objects and architecture. Within these whimsical forms, a layered dance of intersecting colour and pattern ruminate on ideas of time: time escaping, moving, standing still and being held in an infinite loop
