Pittosporum undulatum

oil on birch panel

760cm x 1m

Pittosporum is everywhere in the Inner West and Canterbury-Bankstown. It is self sown and when mature is a beautifully shaped small tree. In summer it has clusters of wonderful white and yellow flowers, however it is not often recognised and is quite overlooked against the more showy natives. This artwork captures the beauty of the leaves and flowers when viewed from very close up.
