A meditation on the underlying nature of our local environment - what lies beneath - the natural world, human intervention, dispossession and climate disruption. The formal preoccupation is with the visual richness of natural shapes, how seeing is by its nature abstract, how these abstract forms are transmitted into unreliable memory, and how remembering modifies even the most familiar; an attempt to capture in paint something of the workings of the mind.
