'Sunset over the Cooks' is inspired by the beautiful colors and light of a sunset over the Cooks River. I used soft brushstrokes and bright colors to show how the light changes quickly in the evening, much like the Impressionist artists did. My goal was to capture the feeling of watching the sunset, where everything seems to glow for just a moment. This painting is about enjoying those brief, beautiful times in nature that can make us stop and take notice.
