This artwork was inspired by the Wurridjal festival which is celebrated every year as the Mullet fish makes the journey up the Cook's River. I have painted the fish on reclaimed materials (cereal boxes) to also make comment about the state of the river and how pollution is still an ongoing concern, making fish unsuitable for consumption.
