My work is a reflection on the geometric shapes found in nature, particularly those seen in the rocks along the edges of the Bay Run. I’ve always been fascinated by the way nature and human intervention intertwine, especially in the stonework that borders the water. The geometric patterns that emerge through natural erosion are echoed in the man-made structures, creating a dialogue between the organic and the constructed. The glaze I chose was experimental, and to me, it captures the way water glistens off these rocks, adding a layer of dynamism to the piece. This work explores the intersection of natural and human-made beauty, celebrating the shapes and textures that are often overlooked in our everyday surrounding.
