The long green fence is a landmark of Hawthorne Parade and runs parallel to the GreenWay bike path. This tired fence has had a long and difficult life, regularly baring the scars of vehicle damage and graffiti artists whose work is erased as quickly as it appears. The corrective layers of paint never match the original fence colour. A shipping container pops its equally battered head above the parapet, silently watching the comings and goings along the GreenWay.
