The Greenway is an amazing stretch of land within the city. For me it is a magical place. Defying the years of urbanisation with its own uniqueness, a portal to a past world. What I see as I walk these paths is an evolution of the urban space. The resilience of nature as trees take root and weeds proliferate. The native and the invasive. The pull between the dedicated souls that have created a sanctuary for brush turkeys, endangered bats and us, and those that care to rip it up. It is harmony and balance and constantly at risk. It is a reflection of the fragility of our Earth, it is in constant flux. This image was taken along the Greenway at the Richard Murden bushcare site. It is an in-camera multiple exposure taken with an infrared converted camera.
